Mentors without borders
The MOOC Mentors without borders has been developed for nurse mentors who are interested in mentoring international healthcare students. It gives nurses and other healthcare professionals an opportunity to share experience with other nurse mentors, get acquainted with the specifics of learning and teaching in another language, work with assessment test of cultural awareness and sensitivity, learn basics of didactics and forming quality relationship with international students, and provides the tools on how to cooperate with the educational institution in preparing for the practice, and learning the students’ preparedness and learning goals.
The course is free of charge. After readings and listening to lectures and the submitting the required assignments the students will receive a certificate of completion.
