From biomarker development to redefinition of myocard infarction and injury

We would like to invite you to the next Medicine as a Science lecture: Acute myocardial infarction is one of the leading causes of death in the developed world. The right diagnosis is then absolutely fundamental. Luckily, we have the chance to take a look into the secrets of myocardial infarction with our next guest Prof. Dr. med. Hugo Katus.

Prof. Dr. med. Hugo Katus is the president of the German Cardiac Society who was the first to develop a cardiac-specific troponin assay, which is now used in hospitals all over the world to diagnose myocardial infarction. Dr. Katus is also chief of internal medicine and director of cardiovascular medicine department of the University of Heidelberg in Germany.

His lecture titled "From biomarker development to re-definition of myocardial infarction and injury" will take place on April 12, 2019 at 4:30 PM in Burian’s lecture hall. We are sorry to inform you, that we will not stream this lecture online.
