Topic title

The prognostic predictive markers in penile carcinoma: a molecular and morphological study.

Rare subtypes of pancreatic carcinoma: genomic and proteomic prognostic markers.

Cholangiocarcinoma: immunohistochemistical markers of peripheral and hilar subtype, link to prognostic and predictive markers.

Description of scientific activity

Jan Hrudka graduated at Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague in 2011. He works as diagnostic pathologist. From 2011 to 2014, he worked at Institute of Pathology, Klinikum Fürth in Germany. From 2014 until today, he works at Institute of Pathology at Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and University Hospital Královské Vinohrady as pathologist, teacher and research worker.

The main research topic is morphological and molecular pathology of gastrointestinal and urological tumors, in terms of immunohistochemical and molecular methods to identify prognostic and predictive markers in pancreatic, biliary, colorectal, and penile carcinoma.

PhD student may participate on some of ongoing researchs, including research focused on penile carcinoma with specific financial support from Czech Health Research Council.
