Project Narrative::

Environmental pollution represents a significant threat to human health. However, data are scarce, and pollutants' effects on pancreatic beta-cells remain largely unexplored. The project focuses on exploring the effects of late (DDT) and present pollutants on the viability and function of pancreatic beta-cells. Besides the production of insulin, it will also explore the changes in the expression of relevant proteins.
