Project Narrative:

Cross-frequency coupling (CFC) is a mechanism for synchronization and interaction between local and global processes of neuronal populations. Neurological diseases can alter the characteristics of the CFC, allowing the use of the CFC for diagnosis or treatment (e.g. Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, learning and memory disorders, etc.). The aim of this work will be to investigate correlations between CFC and cognitive characteristics of working memory, and learning in healthy subjects.

Requirements for student applicants:

Diploma in one of following: (1) General medicine, (2) Life sciences, (3) Psychology, (4) Biological signal processing.
