Visit to the Long-Term Care Department as Part of Medical Czech Instruction

On May 5, 2025, students enrolled in Advanced Czech Communication for Medical Purposes visited the Long-Term Care Department at the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady. Working in small groups, the students conducted patient interviews and collected medical histories, applying their theoretical knowledge in a real clinical setting.

Their visit was also appreciated by the patients, for whom the interaction with students provided a welcome change in their daily routine. At the end of the session, the students presented their case findings to one another and reflected on their experiences communicating with patients.The visit proved to be a valuable and enriching experience that significantly contributed to the development of the students’ language and communication skills in a clinical context.
