Miloslav Petrusek Award for Presentation goes to Iveta Čermáková and her team

On April 5th in Aula Magna at the historical building of Karolinum, we gathered to celebrate the 675th anniversary of the founding of Charles University. Highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners of the Miloslav Petrusek Representation Award and the Bedrich Hroznys´ Creative Award.

The Miloslav Petrusek Award was presented to the team consisting of our university´s colleagues from the Third Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Arts (Philosophy) and the Karolinum Publishing House, for their work on the bilingual Czech-Ukrainian instructional book “Léčíme česky - Čeština pro sestry a jiné zdravotníky“. Namely - Mgr. Iveta Čermáková, PhDr. Marie Zvoníčková, Mgr. Tereza Bakusová, Prof. PhDr. Petr Čermák, Ph.D., Bc. Daria Stytsenko, Bc. Roksolana Fedorenko, Mgr. Petr Valo a Mgr. Eva Flanderková, Ph.D.

The book was designed for the non-medical health workers, especially nurses, caregivers and nurse assistants. The main aim of the project was to help Ukrainian nurses efficiently adapt and join us at work in the Czech hospitals. To be highlighted is the winning team´s good will as they offered to donate part of the winnings to the Člověk v tísni charity, which will use the funds to further support Ukraine.
