We are excited to invite you to the next lecture in the Medicine as Science series, featuring Professor Aleksandar Antanasijević from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Professor Antanasijević is a biochemist and structural biologist who uses advanced electron microscopy to study how our immune system recognizes viruses and toxins. His laboratory at EPFL studies immune responses, aiming to inform the design of next-generation vaccines, antibodies, and antivenoms. His work has contributed to the development of vaccine candidates against pathogens such as HIV, SARS-CoV-2, Dengue, and even snake bites.

The topic of the lecture will be “Antibody-Antigen Interactions Through the Lens of an Electron Microscope“.

  • The lecture will be held in English.

  • We are looking forward to meeting you online on MS Teams on 28th May at 4PM
