Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Meyer-Lindenberg, MSc. has accepted our invitation as the next speaker of the Medicine as a Science cycle. Professor Meyer-Lindenberg is the Director and CEO of the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim, Germany and a professor at Heidelberg University. His research focuses on severe mental disorders (schizophrenia, depression, and autism), combining both neurobiological tools (neuroimaging, genetics) and the clinical perspective. In 2021, prof. Meyer-Lindenberg is a Highly Cited Researcher (awarded by Clarivate, rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science).


In his lecture, prof. Meyer-Lindenberg will discuss the topic of Genes and Environment and the Human Social Brain - how risk and resilience for mental disorders emerge. The lecture will be held in English and it will be recorded.
