When food becomes an Issue - an overview of eating disorders

Dear colleagues, dear students,

We would like to invite you to next Medicine as a Science lecture. We are very glad that associate professor Katrin Skala, PD, MD from Medical University of Vienna accepted our invitation. Professor Skala is a senior physician at the University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After studying human medicine and philosophy in Vienna, she completed her training as a specialist in psychiatry in Vienna and France, and was subsequently trained as a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry. In addition to clinical work and teaching at the Medical University of Vienna, Katrin Skala focuses on research on addiction and the development of addiction. She is also working as a psychotherapist. During our Medicine as a Science lecture, professor Skala will offer her experience and insight into the topic of eating disorders: ‘When food becomes an Issue - an overview of eating disorders with special emphasis on Anorexia Nervosa’.
