The Third Faculty of Medicine is proud that its students come from many countries of the world. We appreciate that they have chosen our faculty for their studies. We respect their personal views and cultural differences. We firmly believe that every medical student perceives the unacceptability of violence, as they are fully aware of the value of every human life and health.
The goal of the faculty is a safe and peaceful environment for learning and teaching. We are aware that war conflicts are emotionally challenging for many students coming from countries affected by these conflicts. We encourage moderation when posting information or personal views on social media or other media. We are all one academic community of students and teachers. Faculty spaces will not be used for political or ideological confrontations. The faculty environment must not become a place of mutual attacks between students of different nationalities.
The Vice Dean for Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs MUDr. David Marx, PhD. has been in contact with the Israeli students of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University since October 7 to find out their current needs caused by the war situation in their country. In the case of students being called up for military service, the faculty will provide individual study plans to make up for missed classes. The faculty's 24-hour telephone line (+420 724 292 312) can be used for any acute problems caused by the current situation.
