On Tuesday 23.5. the jubilee 15th student reaserch conference of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine will take place on the premises of the faculty. You can look forward to 76 scientific contributions, of which 18 are clinical, 15 theoretical, 30 postgraduate and 11 undergraduate. Each section is traditionally divided into oral presentations and posters.

Based on the agreement signed between Charles University and the J. William Fulbright Commission, American academics can receive partial financial support for temporary academic/lecturer positions at any faculty or unit of Charles University. The contract is limited to a maximum of 2 persons in a particular academic year, with the UK welcoming the first lecturer under this agreement in the academic year 2024/2025.

Safe from the rainy and windy Friday evening, behind the majestic doors of the National house of Vinohrady, the preparations for the annual ball were in full swing - musicians tuning their instruments, ladies squeezing in last minutes changes to their dresses and make up, baristas stocking up on champagne and Aperol. The 2023’s annual representative ball of the LF3 was officially kicked off by the Vice Dean D. Marx M.D. at 8 PM.

Our 4th year, AmáliePokorná, reporting back from her Erasmus stay at The University of EasternFinland in Kuopio. „I´ve been attending lectures combined with a month-longpractice at the department of gynecology and obstetrics – it´s the field I´minterested in delving deeper into, so I really wanted to see how different theinner workings are in Finland compared to in the Czech Republic. I was the onlystudent on the team, so I had an incredible opportunity see and learn a lot ofpractical tasks first-hand, such as personally treating patients, samplecollection, ultrasound operation; I even got to assist with a surgery.”
