The most anticipated event of the year is here: The Representative ball takes place in the National House of Vinohrady on March 7th 2012 from 7:30pm. Look forward to the Jindřich Vácha's Dance Orchestra, Mária Biháli and Backtale Apsa and Zelená konev. There will be announcement of the Syllaba's chalk awards, raffle and traditional students' dance performance. Tickets are on sale from Monday. (Don't forget the discount for the last year students.) Come enjoy the ball and start the new semester in style! After party is prepared by LFSU - certainly there's a lot to look forward to.

more2012-01-27 The 2nd annual United States Medical Licensing Exam Preparatory Course
This summer semester Charles University is proud to announce the 2nd annual United States Medical Licensing Exam Prep. Course. The same great teachers as well as a few new ones are excited to bring you this wonderful opportunity. It is never to early to start preparing. We are making it even better than last year! The course is open to all students years 1-6 in both Czech and English curricula. There is a 3000.- CZK fee for the course. It will take place one night a week with intense teaching lectures lasting about 3 hours in a main lecture hall at the faulty. For students studying for Module 2 C - there was an excellent pass rate after taking this course! Topics range from Bio Chemistry - Pharma, Pathology, Anatomy and organ systems such as cardio and respiratory etc. A 13 week lecture series. more2011-02-16 United States Medical Licensing Examination Prep Course
The Charles University 3rd Faculty of Medicine proudly announces the first annual United States Medical Licensing exam Prep Course. To be held every Tuesday from 1800 to 2100 in Syllabus Hall and will run for 15 weeks. Registration Will be on Tuesday, 22 of February at 1800 at the Third faculty. The course is open to all medical students in years 4, 5, 6 plus post grad and doctors from all medical faculties. The course fee is 3000 crowns per person. This fee will drop to 2500 if more than 35 students sign up. There is a limit of 45 students. Each lecture will be taught by our BEST professor in that field: Bio Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Anatomy, Neurology, Immunology/ hematology, Cardio, Respiratory, Renal and GIT. Each lecture will entail a minimum of 2 hours of instruction of high yield information followed by 1 hour of case study and practice questions. 2011-01-24 Running With Those That Can’t o.s
Charles University 3rd faculty of medicine is excited about this year’s continued partnership with the charity, Running With Those That Can’t o.s. RWTTC is a charity focused on inclusion projects and awareness programs for children with special needs and is made up of students from the faculty. This year, RWTTC hopes to continue upon its success from last year’s race and include more special needs children in the PIM marathon circuit in 2011. In accomplishing their mission of inclusion, they run and push children with Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy in modified wheel chairs. The strollers are then donated to the family after the race. If you would like to volunteer, sponsor a child or donate please email RWTTC.cz@gmail.com. Give a child the ability to feel free from his or her disability for a day and Include them in this year’s Prague Marathon circuit races.

2010-09-23 Dobronice International
The adaptation course of new medical students of the faculty took place in Dobronice between 9th-12th September this year - for the historically first time English Curicullum students took part in it together with their Czech colleagues. The course was attended by 29 students of English curicullum and 118 students of the Czech curriculum. During informative seminars, sports and informal pub sessions there were many possibilities of integration of the students of both groups. I would like to thank the student organizers, especially Pia Zacher, Jakub Miletín, Morten Isaksen and Einar Wik for their help and support in organizing the course.

Portal EZ Proxy allows remote access to purchased faculty and university electronic informational sources (databases, e-books, e-journals) and work with e-resources from home or from other PC stations, independent of the IP address. Access is granted only for employees and students of the 3. FM CU with a valid CU pass. The Portal of Electronic Resources – PEZ ensures a comprehensive overview of all available and purchased electronic sources at CU and 3.FM. (Database, journal database with full text, language dictionaries, e-books, etc.)
