Project Narrative:

Nowadays, we are exposed to a high degree of electronic visual stimulation generated by computers, television, cell phones, tablets, video games or other interactive animations. The present study will investigate the impact of prolonged object motion-induced visual stimulation on the function of blood-retinal barrier in health and disease and clarify the nature of local neural mechanisms affecting the blood-retinal barrier integrity during the stimulation process.

Requirements for student applicants:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven PhD student who wants to pursue a career in research. Previous laboratory experience, analytical thinking skills and background in physiology of visual system, molecular/cell biology and immunology are preferable.
