50 years ago, 1974, the graduates of 2LF and 3LF UK stood together in Karolinum, receiving their hard-earned diplomas. Today, we have the honour of hosting the alumni´s reunion at the ´Golden Graduation´, their 50th anniversary. Some stayed in Czechoslovakia, some emigrated to other countries, but still made an effort to visit us.

Students of physiotherapy wrote us: "In March, we had the opportunity to attend the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) in the university city of Ghent, Belgium. The event was conceived to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in pediatric rehabilitation. During the 2 week long internship, we were assigned to international teams with colleagues from different fields.

As part of the meeting of the 3FM Scientific Council on Thursday March 7th 2024, 3FM Commemorative Medals were awarded to 2 of our honoured colleagues. The first award was granted to Daniela Lvová, the Director of Study department, for her long time contribution to the development of 3FM CU. The second award was granted to Prof. Andrej Sukop for outstanding achievements in both his academic and research activities for 3FM within the field of plastic surgery. Congratulations and thank you for your hard work!

Nine 5th-year students had an opportunity to participate in a two-week Šumava Doctor Internship, organized by MUDr. Rudolf Baloun under the patronage of KPL. The unique project was designed to familiarize students with the duties and working conditions of a GP in the Šumava Czech-German border region, pass on some practical skills, and cultivate closer relations with the community in the region.

A scientific symposium supported by the 4EU+ inter-university alliance took place at the Karolinum in Prague on 15-17 June 2023 entitled Emerging new concepts and approaches to tackle the diabetes pandemic in urban areas: from Physiology to successful implementation. The symposium was organized on the platform of the 4EU+ Alliance by partner universities in Prague, Paris, Copenhagen, and Milan.
