In the years 1976-1982, he studied at the Second Medical Faculty in Prague. Until the first surgical attestation, he worked at a hospital in Liberec. Young doctors were sent to the crowds in the field occasionally, so he also had the opportunity to get to know the issue of the work of a district doctor. He spent most of his professional life at the IKEM Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic. Since 2015 he has been working as a general practitioner - one year in a large district in Jílové near Prague, the recent years in Prague.

Teaching activities: During his studies, he taught for three years at the Department of Anatomy (0.25 assistant hours), then worked for one year at the Department of Pathology and Anatomy. While working at the FNKV Surgical Clinic, he taught at a medical school. He taught medics intern at IKEM.

International experience: clinical and scientific internships at workplaces in Germany, Russia, Lithuania and the USA. From 1995 to 1998, he worked as a cardiac surgery resident in the United States - first for two years at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and then for one year at the University Hospital in Albany, New York.

Scientific work: Candidate work on the topic of laser action on blood vessels — professional articles in national and foreign magazines.

Certification: General surgery, vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, practical medicine.

Languages: English and Russian (state exams). Expert advisor for dubbing medical series (Grey's Anatomy / Surgeons, Night Shift, ...).

From the times of alpine ascents (Mt. Blanc, Matterhorn, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, ...) he remained interested in mountain and sports medicine. He was a doctor on the Czech expedition to the 8,000-strong Gašerbrum I and II in 2007. He lectures as a member of the Society of Mountain Medicine of the Czech Republic. Provides sports advice at the Cardiocentre in Smíchov.
