            The Department of Anatomy is involved in teaching anatomy to all students of the Third Fac

            The main emphasis is placed on the acquisition of routine practical skills and the interco
            knowledge with other related disciplines (histology, physiology). The staff of the Institu
            in a number of scientific projects, which focus on theoretical issues of anatomy, biologic

            new technological innovations in teaching anatomy, neuroscience research (CNS imaging tech
            Alzheimer's disease, CLARITY system for neurohistology, the effect of stress on the struct
            They participate in a number of international congresses, closely collaborate with clinica

            institutions at home, e.g. the Orthopaedic and Traumatology Clinic, the Urology Clinic, th
            Institute of Mental Health in Klecany, the Department of Neurophysiology of Memory of the 
            Sciences of the Czech Republic. Among the foreign institutions are the University of Flore

            Annamaria Morelli, Prof. Daniele Nosi and Dr. Daniele Lana), the University of Sydney, Aus
            Damian Holsinger), the Mind and Life Institute, Colorado, USA, the Waisman Laboratory for 
            Behavior, Wisconsin, USA and the Center for Healthy Mind, Madison, USA. The Institute offe

            elective courses suitable for both junior and senior students in English (Working with str
            Functional Neuroanatomy and Clinical Anatomy). A scientific cooperation and student exchan
            been concluded with the University of Florence (signed in 2022).
