We are pleased to invite you to our next Medicine as a Science lecture featuring prof. Edith Heard.


Professor Heard currently serves as CEO of the Francis Crick Institute in London, UK, as well as a Professor at the Collège de France in Paris, France.


With over 40,000 citations, she ranks among the world’s leading scientists in epigenetics. Her research focuses on X-chromosome inactivation and how genes are regulated in early development.


In her lecture, “X-Chromosome Inactivation and Its Implications for Female Development and Disease,” Prof. Heard will explore how epigenetic mechanisms control gene activity and how their disruption can contribute to developmental disorders and disease.
