We are pleased to invite you to our next Medicine as a Science lecture with Prof. Susan M. Gasser. With over 40 000 citations, Professor Gasser ranks among the world’s leading scientists in molecular biology and epigenetics. Her work explores how DNA is organized and regulated within the cell, and how these mechanisms maintain genome stability and health. Professor Gasser currently serves as the Director of the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research and is a guest professor at the University of Lausanne. |

In her lecture, Prof. Gasser will speak on “Understanding diseases and aging through molecular epigenetics and the future of medical research ” explaining how changes in the way DNA is folded and regulated can cause cells to lose control over their genes, contributing to aging and the development of various diseases.
The talk will be conducted in English, and a recording will be available afterward.
The event will take place on 12.11.2025 at 18:00 in Syllaba hall.
This lecture is organised with the support of the Division of International and Public Relations of the 3FM CU.
