The student comes to the registration with the document “Overview of exam results” that he/she will print out from the SIS, from the application “Summary of exam results,” and sign. The student will also show the CU student ID and a student of the Master programme will also provide his or her Logbook.

Professor Marko Noc, MD, Ph.D. has accepted our invitation as the first speaker on the Medicine as a Science cycle. Professor Noc is specialized in interventional cardiology and acute cardiac care, and his research focuses on the interventional aspects of acute coronary syndromes, cardiac arrest, and cardiogenic shock.

The Medicine as Science team would like to invite you to a lecture by Dr. med. Denis L. Kaech from Switzerland. Doctor Kaech is an expert in the field of neurosurgery with special focus on spine. To this day he works at the prime Swiss clinic Medizinisches Center Maienfeld. The central point of his scientific research is neuroimaging like PET, CT, and MRI. He is a publish author of the book Spinal Restabilization Procedures.

Wolfram Doehner, MD, PhD, DIC, FESC, FHFA, who works at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Prof. Doehner is a cardiologist and a specialist for internal and nutritional medicine. In his research, he focuses on the metabolic pathophysiology in chronic disease and its contribution to peripheral tissue wasting, muscle loss, and cachexia.

We are pleased to invite you to the first lecture of the summer semester in this year’s Medicine as a Science cycle. Our speaker will be gastroenterologist prof. Harry Sokol, MD, PhD, who is an internationally acclaimed expert in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and in gut microbiota fields. Prof. Sokol works at the St. Antoine Hospital in Paris and he is also a co-director of the Microbiota, Gut, and Inflammation team at Sorbonne University.

The Student Research Conference of the Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Traditionally, it will consist of lecture and poster sections. An independent expert commission will decide on the division of contributions into sections. The system for inserting abstracts will open on February 1, 2023 on the SRC website (). In order to be able to divide the contributions into individual sections, no contributions will be accepted after the deadline for the submission of the abstract, which is set for March 26, 2023.
