Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Meyer-Lindenberg, MSc. has accepted our invitation as the next speaker of the Medicine as a Science cycle. Professor Meyer-Lindenberg is the Director and CEO of the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim, Germany and a professor at Heidelberg University.

Dr. Erickson is a professor of radiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. His research is focused on the extraction of information from medical images using computer technologies for diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic purposes.

Professor deThé is the chair of the Cellular and Molecular Oncology Department at Collège de France. Simultaneously, he works as a medical doctor at the St. Louis Hospital in Paris. Professor’s main area of interest is linking the molecular biology of Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia (APL) with therapeutic response.

The 3-kilometer run, which connects students, teachers, doctors and the general public, will take place on the 19th of May 2022, in the area of Královské Vinohrady faculty hospital, the 3rd Faculty of Medicine and Státní zdravotní ústav. All proceeds from the event go to EMOTER, organisation providing medical help based in the Nebbi district of Uganda.

The Student Research Conference of the Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Traditionally, it will consist of lecture and poster sections. An independent expert commission will decide on the division of contributions into sections. The system for inserting abstracts will open on March 1, 2022 on the SRC website. In order to be able to divide the contributions into individual sections, no contributions will be accepted after the deadline for the submission of the abstract, which is set for April 10, 2022.

Professor Marko Noc, MD, Ph.D. has accepted our invitation as the first speaker on the Medicine as a Science cycle. Professor Noc is specialized in interventional cardiology and acute cardiac care, and his research focuses on the interventional aspects of acute coronary syndromes, cardiac arrest, and cardiogenic shock.

The Medicine as Science team would like to invite you to a lecture by Dr. med. Denis L. Kaech from Switzerland. Doctor Kaech is an expert in the field of neurosurgery with special focus on spine. To this day he works at the prime Swiss clinic Medizinisches Center Maienfeld. The central point of his scientific research is neuroimaging like PET, CT, and MRI. He is a publish author of the book Spinal Restabilization Procedures.
