            Professor Ivan Rychlík, MD, PhD, FERA, FASNProfessor of Internal Medicine

            DOB & POB: 27.12.1962, Prague
             
            Education:

            He graduated (M.D.) in 1987, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, Summa cum Laude. 
            graduated in Internal Medicine in 1994 and in Nephrology in 1996. In 1998-1999 he was awar
            fellowship by ISN which he underwent in Heidelberg under supervision of Professor Eberhard

            In 2001 he defended his PhD thesis (Charles University, Prague). Since 1995 he has been ac
            post-gradual teaching and supervising. He habilitated as Associate Professor in 2004 and F

            Internal Medicine in 2011 (Charles University, Prague).

            Work experience:

            Since 1987, he has been employed in Charles University in Prague, having started as clinic
            continued as staff member, clinical nephrologist, head nephrologist. Since 2002 he has bee
            nephrologist and lecturer of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine. From 2005 to 2016 he was Head of

            Faculty Hospital of the 3rd Faculty Medicine, Prague. He has been Head of 1st Department o
            same institution.

            He is an author/co-author of more than 200 scientific articles, 10 monographs (1x Oxford U

            and 50 book chapters. He presented more than 300 presentations in international meetings, 
            is 1850 (WOS) and H-index 17.
            He was a Principal investigator of three scientific Czech grants (IGA Czech Min.of Health)

            investigator of three EU grants (QUEST, PREDICTIONS, PRIORITY), and other 8 Czech grants. 
            worked as principal or national investigator of several trials, mostly in the field of dia
            (TREAT, SHARP, GFRF study, VIVALDI, CREDENCE etc.).

            His current main scientific interests are epidemiology of renal diseases, diabetic nephrop
            diabetic patients on dialysis treatment.


            Awards:
            He was awarded with Annual Award of Czech Medical Society the best monograph (1994), Award
            outstanding scientific presentation (Madrid, 1999), Jan Brod Award for the best publicatio
