LIMSC 2015 was great success
On 11th to 15th of March 2015 our six-year student Matěj Patzelt participated in the 9th Leiden International Medical Students Conference in Netherlands. In competition of more than 220 presentations he won 2nd place with research project „Usefulness of Micro-CT in Morphology“ (Tutor: MUDr. Jana Mrzílková).
„It is definitively the biggest success of my scientific activity. Comparing to Istanbul, in Leiden there were three times more presentations and they had better quality. It is amazing to win second place in such a big conference and defeat so many great speakers, especially when it was my last students’ conference. I would like to thank all co-workers from Specialized Laboratory of Experimental Imaging and of course Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University.” Says Matěj Patzelt.
Conference in Leiden takes place once every two years and it is one of the biggest conferences in the world. It was visited by students from 38 countries of the world. Programme of the conference offered not only presentations of the students, but also speech of well-known scientists and several workshops - tour of the 7-tesla MRI scanner, training of laparoscopic skills, introduction into fluorescence and ultrasound-guided interventions and many more. There was also a great social programme.
Congratulations!
